                              Symptoms of damage
                   Red stained lint and rotting bolls. Inner boll wall with warty growth or water soaked spots young bolls abort and turn dark brown. NYMPH & ADULT

                  Nymphs and adultrs: Reddish bugs with white bands on the abdomen and black markings on the wings.

                              Symptoms of damage
                  Shriveling of leaves due to scrapping of epidermis and desapping; when leaves unfurl after attack on terminal buds, they will have ragged edges, damage severe in seedlings. Silvery sheen on the under surface of the leaves. NYMPH & ADULT

                   Small, slender insects or varying colour from yellow to brown with fringed wings.

                              Symptoms of damage
                   Chlorotic spots on the leaves which later coalesce forming irregular yellowing of leaf tissue which extends from veins to the outer edges of the leaves. These leaves later dry and shed. If the plant is shaken, a cloud of tiny moth like insects flutters out but rapidly resettles. NYMPH & ADULT.
                     
                   Description of pest
                   Nymph: Greenish Yellow, a oval in outline, along with puparia on the undersurface of leaves.
Adult: Minute insects with yellow body covered with a white, waxy bloom.

                  Nymph: Light green, translucent, wingless, found between the veins of leaves on the under surface. When disturbed, move in a diagonal manner. Adult: Green, wedge shaped leaf hopper.

                   Bolls showing regular, circular bore holes; larvae seen feeding on the boll by thrusting their heads alone inside. Presence of granular faecal pellets outside the bore hole. LARVA
                     
                   Description of pest
                  The adult moth is stout, yellowish brown with a dark speck area on the forewings, which have grayish wavy lines and a black kidney shaped mark whereas the hind wings are whitish with blackish patch along the outer margin.The larvae is about 35 mm long, greenish brown with dark gray yellow stripes along the sides of the body.
